Think Pinker - Monday Deskspiration

When it comes to workspace style, my attitude is ‘high tech, colourful, inspiring and fun.’ I could never do an Anna Wintour and have SWEET FA on my desk. In my opinion, when it comes to stationery, hot pink is the only way to go. I got the gold earrings at the top from the Zara sale last week. They’re pictured with Mac Lipglass in Candy Yum Yum and the pink stationery is from my top drawer in the Tea Building – hands off!

How very ‘Gibson’

When I was younger, my looks closely represented my favourite actresses at the time. I had a Teri Hatcher bob (remember the New Adventures of Superman?) at the tender age of twelve. Another favourite was Dana Scully off the X-Files, played by Gillian Anderson. That blow dry, that subtle taupe eye-shadow. It was all so wonderful. Gillian has recently re-emerged as my favourite for her sassy, work-appropriate-sexy office looks in BBC's ‘the Fall’. There are two ways of achieving her character, Superintendent Stella Gibson’s look; the expensive, luxurious, authentic way and the almost criminally cheap way (please don’t arrest me, Superintendent).

Sale Shopping Reluctance

I haven’t really hit the high street sales in a big way this year. There are a few good reasons for this:

1. The weather is hideous
2. The hideous weather will make my fringe gross
3. I would have to leave my new electric blanket
4. Shopping is tiring
5. I’m too fat from Christmas and am very afraid nothing will fit me

All good points, I think you’ll agree. HOWEVER: I am a bargain lover and would hate the high street to suffer because of my reluctance. With this in mind, I have scoured the internet for the best bargains of the moment. In my pyjamas, natch.

Because the sparkle must continue.

Er. are these gym-appropriate? Who cares, they’ll make me look cool.

Zara Leopard Blazer now £30 (was £59)

I sucked it up and actually ventured into Zara Marble Arch to unearth this beauty. Be warned: Zara’s sizing is beyond mental and you will need a size XXL if you are a UK 12 like me.

Staying (as ever) on the leopard theme, I discovered this…so wrong it’s right.

Summer Holidays

Ah Italia, you are still as bella as can be. I love heading to my second home in southern Italy. The people, the weather and the gorgeous food stay perfectly the same and it’s a joy to  visit my family and holiday there every year. If you want to read more about my favourite destination, check out my review over at White Stuff.

The place is ridiculously like a Dolce and Gabbana campaign location, so I decided to dress in keeping. Hope you like my snaps!

Second Female

So I'm a little bit in love with Danish brand Second Female. I KNOW I have enough statement necklaces, but one more can't hurt, can it? Especially if it's neon and particularly amazing. It's begging to be worn with my fave Zara top and a pair of skinny jeans.Or indeed, any of the amazing jersey pieces here: www.secondfemale.dk.
