Mulberry Loves Wilderness!

Mulberry hosted an exclusive English picnic at Wilderness festival in Oxfordshire to celebrate the UK launch of the new Mulberry Cara Delevingne Collection. Celeb guests joined Cara inside the secret Walled Garden.

Ta-wit-ta-who?

Just when I think I'm getting sick of Cara Delevingne , she comes back looking amazing and changes my mind. Employed by Mulberry for their Autumn Campaign, she looks sleek, sophisticated and beautiful. It's a great fit for Mulberry; the perfect mix of quirk and quintessential Britishness. And Cara's keen to design.! I'll be impressed if she comes up with anything even close to the beauty of the brand's blood leather cape (swoon).

Mulberry at Vogue's Fashion Night Out

Tali Lennox presents me with my wrap!

Mulberry’s Fashion Night Out was one of the best on New Bond Street. And no, I’m not just saying that because I won a Feather Friend wrap one of the half-hourly prize draws! They had Mulberry mojitos, face-painting a fortune teller, nail artists and goodie bags. Lots of fun.

Love Leopard

Mulberry has created a special range with travelling in mind – the Leopard Scotchgrain collection . Which is your favourite? (Click this link to see them all: http://www.mulberry.com/?om_i=emleopard&om_u=2548286171/#/storefront/c5697/c6040/)

For me, it’s a fairly simple decision; I adore leopard and love totes that fit over your shoulder…

As luck would have it, the zip on my favourite Longchamp Pliage tote is totally knackered so I actually need a new bag. This one’s a frontrunner.

The Leopard print tote is £495 and is available from

Baby's Got a Brand New Bag

Kate Bosworth

Emma Watson

Emma Hill and her team have given us all a brand new Mulberry bag to lust after. They describe the Carter as a ‘stand-out day-to-evening bag.’ It comes in a choice of three delicious finishes: super-soft suede, tactile croc nappa and the intricate snake-embossed printed leather.

Carter has been spotted on the arm of a few celebrity fans, including Kirsten Dunst, Kate Bosworth, Lily Donaldson and Emma Watson.

It looks like a really versatile bag – it would be a fab for work and play. I want! I want!

Alexa in Korea

Seriously, how good would it be to live Alexa Chung’s life for a day? Most recently she flew to Korea to attend a Mulberry event in the Grand Hyatt Hotel. She DJ-ed at the party and wore a pleated shirt dress from the brand’s autumn/winter ’11 collection. Jel. In other news, I am fantasizing about a top-to toe lilac look (v. flattering on us brunettes). The ‘Google image-ing’ starts now.

Gilding the Lily

Look at Mulberry’s new ‘Jewelled Lily’ bag! So beautiful Mulberry fans!

Mulberry say:

The production of a Jewelled Lily is a concoction of hand-cut leather, classic Mulberry components, pots and pots of crystals and plenty of love, care and attention. The same style and size as the regular Lily made in natural leather, this version has that extra sparkle courtesy of 2596 Swarovski crystals and 460 manually applied Mulberry rivets. The cutting of the leather, applying of the crystals and rivets, and the finishing of the bag is all carried out in the UK and takes approximately 18 hours per bag. The delicate nature of attaching so many individual details means that no two bags are exactly the same, making the Jewelled Lily a truly exclusive addition to your Mulberry collection.

The Jewelled Lily is a limited edition piece and will retail for £3500.

Sunday – Mulberry, Claridges

Mulberry is always my LFW highlight and Emma Hill and her team came through once again. This time the collection was inspired by Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox (one of my favourites!) and the English countryside.

Claridges was transformed into an outdoorsy paradise. Colourful little birds decorated twisted branches as a pretend fox languished on the roof of a ramshackle wooden shed. Massive toadstools and plenty of moss made the atmosphere complete.

We were given little illustrated cards for the sake of seat allocation – I had a pretty squirrel. We were then fed with toadstool cupcakes and watered with blackcurrant Belvoir drinks (‘posh Ribena!’ exclaimed my friend Simone). We headed into the show space which, despite the clever organisation, was still rather crowded. Mulberry’s popularity was in full evidence. I spied sexy Sherlock Holmes Benedict Cumberbatch, Nicola from Girls Aloud, Karen Gillan from Doctor Who, Fearne Cotton and Dinos Chapman on the front row.

The collection had a seventies feel with lots of flowing maxi dresses, polo necks and knee-length skirts. My favourites included a head-to-toe emerald green ensemble and a heavily embellished black A-line skirt with box pleats. I felt the focus was more on texture than prints this season which actually worked beautifully. The bags, as usual were covetable and similar (in shape, at least) to the Alexa. The show was styled to perfection by Edward Enninful and his talented team (hi Lucy!).

Model-wise, Sam McKnight went for centre-parted free flowing locks whilst Mathias Van Hoof designed a polished, clean face using Mac products. This look has triggered an almost feverish need to locate my missing clip-in hair…the search will continue once I have finished writing this. I want Olivia Palermo hair.

After taking millions of pictures of everything we were ready to leave and collected a Mulberry canvas bag on the way out. It contained a fox-shaped biscuit (which I still can’t bring myself to eat – it’s too nice) and a sheet of shiny woodland stickers.

Sunday - Mulberry Party, Claridges

As we queued to enter the Mulberry party we were offered warm conkers! The Mulberry staff checked us in with their I-Pads and then we were free to roam Claridges once more. We sipped dandelion and burdock cocktails and ate fried scampi and mini toad-in-the-holes – yum. Celeb guests in attendance included Jo Wood, Janice Dickinson, (lovely) Professor Green and Gemma Arterton.

There was music by Kele and Dan Williams DJ-ed. I had a little boogie but there was so many other things to do – bowling for key ring prizes (I got one, it’s a little car) and you could dress up in animal masks and get snapped with an old-fashioned camera. There were even psychics and palm readers. I spoke to the psychic and from what I remember (I had a few cocktails by this point) what she said seemed very accurate.

Highlight of the evening? Having my (H&M) outfit snapped by a photographer from British Vogue – woohoo!

After the party ended I headed off to Sketch with my friend Zuki for some more dancing.
