Mac me Up

One of my favourite parts of LFW is visiting the Mac make-over area. I always pick up amazing tips there; this time it was to use a large rounded brush (intended for blending eyeshadow) for buffing foundation into the skin. I will definitely be trying this at home (must make sure my brush is clean first!).
I came away with some great products to try. I especially love my gorgeous Girl About Town Amplified lipstick; such an awesome shade of pink. Will be re-purchasing when it runs out. It may be a tad too much for day – got some funny looks on the tube this morning. Don’t care though, I love it and want to wear it all the time.

It got ruined by the rain and a scooter helmet the next day but luckily I took lots of pics of my new look, created by Michelle at the Toni & Guy stand at Somerset House.

The Palladium Jewellery Design Competition 2012

Moving house last weekend has sadly meant that I have had to miss lots (way too much) of London Fashion Week, but on Friday I was happy I could attend what I consider to be one of the most important events on the calendar.
For too long, some of London’s best jewellers have only had the opportunity to showcase their work in collaboration with fashion designers on the catwalk. Finally, with the new BFC ‘Rock Vault’ (curated by Stephen Webster), this has all changed.

The International Palladium Board collaborated with Central Saint Martin students to see what they could do with this stunning metal. All entries were, in my opinion, exceptionally strong, but Yuki Agriardi triumphed above the rest with ‘Essentia’; his incredible interpretation of a human spine as a neckpiece.
The event was attended by some of the biggest names in the jewellery industry and judges included Carol Woolton (Jewellery Editor, Vogue) and innovative jeweler Hannah Martin.

Getting my hair done at Toni & Guy is always a fashion week highlight-now they have iPads so I am writing and photographing as Michelle transforms me!

The Innerplace Bar at Sanderson

If, like me, you’re tiring of the usual ‘sitting in the same boring old pub for hours talking’ routine (there’s nothing wrong with it but it can get a little same-y) then you might like to try this. For one month only concierge service, Innerplace will be hosting an interactive bar at the Sanderson which maps out the rest of the evening for guests. Evenings include Canape Safari (February 16th), a Fine Art Evening (February 23rd) and a Cocktail Masterclass (March 1st).

I will miss my room!

 After over six years in Stoke Newington, I am finally moving. I'll really miss my lovely room but I am looking forward to a fresh start.

My friend Laurel (left) and I went to a Bip Ling/Glaceau Vitamin Water party at the Macbeth in Hoxton. It was really fun, there was line dancing!

A Pressie for Elly

My very glam friend Elly is pregnant with her first baby so I drew her this pic as a pressie. The bear is surrounded by all of Elly's other loves; namely Phillip Lim and Net-a-Porter stuff! I found the frame in Hamiltons on Stoke Newington Church Street, it is made from recycled magazines.

My friend Ruth went to the National TV Awards and I did her hair, Bardot-stylee. I was inspired by my awesome experience at Hersheson's Blowdry Bar in Topshop many moons ago.
