Henry Holland's ‘Debut’ – a Celebration of British Fashion

Fundraising has never been as fashionable; Henry Holland introduces ‘Debut’, an exhibition and event in aid of Cancer Research UK.

On 24th March 2011, at One Mayfair, Henry will be joining forces with the fashion world’s leading designers, models and photographers for a spectacular night celebrating British fashion.

With supporters including Lulu Kennedy, Paul Smith and (my favourite) Colin McDowell MBE, Debut is a must for anyone with an eye for style. Guests will be treated to an exhibition of British fashion through the ages including previously unseen photographs and exclusive items from influential industry leaders, including Mary Quant, Nicholas Kirkwood, Christopher Kane, Tracey Boyd, Kate Moss and Rankin, alongside music from top performers and DJs. All the pieces exhibited will be available to buy at auction on the night, giving guests a chance to get their hands on a unique piece of British fashion history.

Presented by TV’s Nick Grimshaw and Miquita Oliver, the evening will raise vital funds towards the charity’s life-saving research into gynaecological cancers – such as ovarian, womb and cervical. Currently around 50 women a day in the UK are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer and ovarian cancer alone was the cause of around 4,370 deaths in 2008.

Henry Holland says: “I’m incredibly excited to be part of this amazing initiative for a hugely important cause. Cancer affects so many people, I personally have lost people close to me to the disease and I’m thrilled to be able to support Cancer Research UK in any way I can. Debut is set to be an unmissable date in the 2011 fashion calendar. We have the support of some great industry experts and we aim to make sure it is an unforgettable evening.”
