Revolution Running

It always happens that just after I have published a post I see something that would have worked perfectly for the story. In this case, I have stumbled across another amazing sports brand. Revolution Running is ‘The only running brand which is manufactured and designed in Britain’. I like how the collection is clearly trend-led but also has all of the technical bits that a high-end sports brand would boast. Keen to see how they would perform in action so watch this space.

White Stomatex Gilet (£95), Purple Crop Top (£25) and Purple Lycra Shorts (£22). All available from Revolution Running.

Foolproof Brows by Perfect Products

I visited the Perfect Products stand at the Olympia Beauty Show. I'll admit, at first I was dubious; perfect brows in 60 seconds? With a stencil? Please, I'm a professional. But after a swift demonstration I was well and truly converted and I have been using it ever since. My Mac 'Dirty Blond' eyebrow pencil has been shelved for now. This is much quicker and leaves me with perfectly defined brows every time. New favourite product!

Olympia Beauty Show

I went to the Olympia Beauty Show last Sunday and it. Was. Amazing. Essie and OPI at cost price? Yes please! Chocolate covered marshmallows and strawberries? Er, okay then. It was slightly vexing to see people stripping to their underwear and being spray tanned in front of hundreds of people. Other favourite sightings included: someone baring their left bum cheek and getting laser lipo, a row of people having their teeth whitened with bright lights and Lauren Goodger.

LFW Round-up

Now the craziness has died down, I'm ready to share my favourite moments from London Fashion Week! Here they are, in no particular order...

The first day back at Somerset House - hello cobbles!

Getting my hair perfectly blowdried at Toni and Guy

Meeting 200m Paralympian champ Richard Whitehead at the PPQ afterparty in Kensington Roof Gardens

Manuela Dack's presentation at Freemason's Hall. It smacked deliciously of Calvin Klein in the glory days. The styling by Jeanie Annan-Lewin made it genius; holographic heels, anyone?

Me, Jeanie and Saz

Getting ready for a night of Linda Farrow and the Vintage Retrospective with the lovely Ellie Stidolph

Gutted I missed the Vintage Retrospective at Bloomsbury Ballroom but at least I made the Bourne & Hollingsworth cocktails afterwards!

Temperley and Todd Lynn were my favourite shows.

Having my make-up done, old Hollywood style at Mac. I will be buying this lipstick; 'Film Noir'

Pleats Please!

On a rainy old Sunday, nothing cheers me up more than a nice cup of tea and a flick through some glossy mags and books. My latest favourite is Issey Miyake’s Pleats Please (£24.99 from Taschen). Packed full of colourful, inspiring imagery and lots of interesting information about the concept, it’s the perfect way to add a bit of brightness to a dreary afternoon, I highly recommend it, fashion fans.

Minnie Love

I have loved Minnie Mouse ever since I went to Disneyland Anaheim when I was about 10. There's an exhibition on at Somerset House at the moment. Different designers have made something Minnie-inspired; one-off pieces which will later be auctioned on eBay to raise money for the BFC/Bazaar Fashion Arts Foundation. Don't miss it!

PPQ Party

I will write about the clothes soon but had to share these pics from the PPQ party at Kensington Roof Gardens last night! It was a fab event and I was lucky enough to hang out rather lovely Team GB Paralympians too, Richard Whitehead and Will Bayley. Lovely blokes.

Queue obligatory posing with the gold medal!

Monki-ing Around with the Girls

I LOVE MONKI. Thought they only had a concession in Selfridges but it turns out there's a massive, amazing Monki shop on Carnaby Street. I will be going back for a major shop next month (avec cash). I also love a good night out with my girls so loved the event they held to celebrate the publication of their new magazine. Foxes performed and cocktails were sipped!
