I’ve done a fair bit of pub crawling, night-capping and drinking in general but shop-hopping? That was a first. The whole of New Bond Street was all abuzz last night with leggy fashionistas practically tripping over each other along the length of it. It was Vogue’s Fashion Night Out. Top spot? Walked past Alexandra Shulman on the street (and got very over-excited)! Here’s the route I took: MaxMara, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Mulberry, Armani. And here’s the lowdown on what happened at each one:

MaxMara

A classy, classic affair which led me to want a camel military coat very badly indeed. Top styling note? Long over the knee grey socks with sequined dresses – lustworthy indeed.

Ralph Lauren

A shop I had never previously visited as I thought it would be a bit too stuffy. It was a tad but there were drinks on every floor which helped alleviate the tension. My fellow Vogue Night Outer, Tara and I giggled like naughty school girls as we tried on sunglasses that were way too expensive for us.

Champagnes drunk each: 2 (and 1 disappointingly non-alcoholic drink of grapefruit and lychee- surprisingly good)

Burberry

Very lavish with Bramble cocktails, champagne and Elderflower drinks. Christopher Bailey was there and was being incredibly charming to everyone accosting him! Tara and I played ‘Guess Which Burberry Shoe I Love’ and ate approximately one million canapés. A form of the Aviator Jacket was there which was pretty exciting.

Mulberry

Lots of fun. There was a prize draw to win Mulberry goodies and ‘face-painting’ which was actually a place where you could go and get your make-up applied expertly! There was a karaoke machine upstairs which caused me to remember and cringe many times the following day. Guests included Ben Grimes, Edie Campbell and Jade Parfitt.

Armani

This was actually a private party and Mr Armani himself made an appearance along with Dominic Cooper, Jonathan Rhys and Danny Cipriani. We drank more champagne and I had my photo taken with Gemma Arterton (who is even more gorgeous in real life – lovely girl too).

We then hit Cuckoo Club when we really shouldn’t have (it was a school night after all!). Much fun was had, dancing about with inappropriate men and such. Vogue’s Fashion Night Out was just like every Fashion Week party rolled into one. Looking forward to next year!

Mystery Jets: Serotonin

Okay, bit of a delayed reaction but how good is the Mystery Jets new album, Serotonin?! The title track is an amazing balance of melancholic electronica paired with the band's typically thought-provoking lyrics.

Have a feeling I'm going to annoy the housemates with repeated playing of this and joyful prancing around my room and stamping my feet. It makes me want to go and see them live again.

I LOVE a good designer collaboration and was super excited to hear that Scott Wilson was doing one with ASOS.com. The pieces look lovely and chunky (right up my street) and are mostly gold-plated. I think the cuff and necklace pictured below are my favourites. The best part? Prices range from £35 (for a ring) and £135 (for the necklace pictured) so you could get the whole collection!

Burberry-esque Goodies

I ordered this jacket from New Look for £39.99...And these boots from ASOS for £85.00...

But if I was a gazillionaire I would order these pieces from Burberry, the jacket is over 2K and the boots are close to a grand. Shame they're so mouth-wateringly delicious:

TFL Irony

It's always pretty funny to see what Transport for London will think of next. In this case I took a trip on one of the 'spacious carriages' and couldn't quite believe the barefaced cheek of the signage claims. The hilarity continued when the announcer assured us that there was a 'good service on all London Undergound lines' after I had had to wait for three trains to pass previously - they were too busy for me to get on. Hardly what constitutes a 'good service' in my book.

Alexa Parties in Singapore

I have yet to find a luxury company that throws a bash quite as well as Mulberry does and their latest soiree didn’t disappoint in the party stakes. It was a fashion installation held yesterday at the glam Tanjong Beach Club in Singapore.

Guests were driven to the venue in London cabs, a quirky touch which seems to suit this quintessentially British label perfectly. I personally fantasise about the day when hailing a cab is a decision as simple as blinking. To do away with the hideousness of riding bendy night buses is something to dream of. Anyway, I digress. The lucky guests celebrated the autumn/winter ’10 collection by supping prosecco and margarita cocktails amongst my favourite glittery leopards and gold rose curtains hung from the trees. They munched prawn cocktails, mini fish and chips, mini burgers and desert included mini lemon meringue pies (yum!) and experienced Alexamania; mini Alexa cupcakes with little edible Alexa bags on top. The girl of the moment also DJ-ed (is there anything she isn’t good at?!)

Russian Nails!

I had a mani/pedi in Kaliningrad, Russia. A current nail trend there is to have long, artificial highly pointed talons, the more unnatural-looking the better. Unsurprisingly I forewent this look in favour of something a little more subtle and girly. I have since tried to recreate but am having limited success (one hand is good, the other decidedly dodgy). My toenails are still pretty much intact - over two weeks later!
