Britain’s Next Top Model Live 2010

My love of the Next Top Model series knows no bounds so I was extremely excited to hear about Britain’s Next Top Model Live! Billed as ‘the ultimate weekend shopping extravaganza,’ the event will be held at London’s Excel Centre from 22nd – 24th October 2010.

Visitors will be given the chance to strut their stuff down the red carpet entrance to the Central Champagne Bar and into the largest selection of the UK’s leading high street brands and premium designer fashions, offering the latest collections from the high-street and beyond.

There will be catwalk shows, an ‘open catwalk’ (ooohh), a powder room and a ‘Paparazzi Zone’ which will be held in conjunction with Company Magazine.

Model wannabes, start salivating: this year’s event is offering visitors the unique opportunity to win a place in Living TV’s Britain’s Next Top Model Series 7 in 2011 with the BNTM Application Studio.

From fashion, to beauty tips and pampering, personal styling and catwalk glamour, Britain’s Next Top Model Live is a must-visit for anyone who has sat and watched an entire series of the show back-to-back… (you know who you are!)

David Gandy's Style Guide for Men Application

Favourite male model of most and muse to Dolce & Gabbana, David Gandy, has launched his very own App, the ‘Style Guide for Men Application.’ Gandy has collaborated with Joe Ottaway of Liberty, a stylist who has contributed to the looks of Jude Law (yum) and Kanye West.

David hopes to help simplify and shed some light on the potentially intimidating world of men’s fashion. It has been influenced by ‘history, icons, utility and budget rather than just high fashion trends.’ The App will focus on three areas; Guide to Style, Gentleman’s Guide and Personal Style.

Gandy says, “We’ve worked hard to make the App informative, easy to follow and to cover a range of styles, budgets and different retailers. I hope it will be helpful for any men interested in dressing well and looking for some direction.”

Now all we need is an App for bagging ourselves a handsome model boyfriend…

The David Gandy Style Guide for Men Application is now available on iTunes at an introductory price of £3.99 or visit www.davdgandystyleguide.com.

Louise Goldin and Coutts

What a chic collaboration - Coutts and Louise Goldin team up for fashion week. If you want to see this in real life then hop off the tube at Charing Cross and cross the road.

The New Dior Shoe Boutique

Gemma Arterton opened the new Selfridges Shoe Galleries today which includes a gorgeous Dior boutique. The new styles are truly covetable, with many platform styles, much to my personal joy. I had my eye on a pair of lace and satin ankle boots with lacing up the backs and a more practical, flat pair of sawn-off riding boots. We sipped champagne and munched macaroons as we perused the new looks. A fetching pair of buckle sandals (amongst a few other pairs) were exclusive to Selfridges to 'boot.' If you haven't been yet, I would strongly suggest paying a visit soon, it's a must-go-to destination to the shoe obsessed.

Nylon's Video of Mulberry SS11 Show

Warehouse and Daisy Craver

Fashion designer Daisy Craver launched her collaboration with Warehouse in the BFC tent this evening. I thought the studded leather leggings were gorgeous (on someone other than me!) and the soft black glossy jacket, pictured on the model below, was utterly covetable. If I stumble across £300-ish quid in the street then it will be the first thing I buy. The long, floaty printed maxi-dresses are also on my wishlist.

Meadham Kirchhoff at the Old Eurostar Terminal

I found the hair and make-up at Meadham Kirchhoff astounding. Rainbow-coloured extensions weaved through the models' hair and long, drawn-on eyelashes (under the eyes only) made them look like Twiggy on acid. The clothes were not really my style but overall, this was a stunning spectacle, romantic and candy coloured.

Today

Another fun, sunny day which consisted of: looking at the Nolcha exhibition at the Trafalgar Hotel, eating scones in the press area of the BFC tent with my friends Jamie and Luke, having champers at the Warehouse and Daisy Craver collaboration party (loved the glossy, hairy black biker jacket) and going to Meadham Kirchhoff show courtesy of my friend Antonia Kraskowski, Junior Stylist at the Daily Express. I wore my Burberry trench, nude Anya Hindmarch bag and leopard print Gina heels (which I was unfortunately forced to remove to walk up the ramp in Waterloo). Parties have been abandoned until tomorrow due to tiredness and extreme hunger. Potato Smileys, a piece of battered fish and lots of salad awaits me.

More Snaps From Yesterday - Cooperative Designs (at the Groucho Club), John Rocha Party and Alexis Party

National Wear a Tea Cosy on Your Head Day

It's National Wear a Tea Cosy on Your Head Day on September 19th! White Stuff is
raising lots of money for local charities by getting everyone to strip their kettles (oo-er) and put that knitted cosy on their heads. I have brought some tea cosies to London Fashion Week and they're going down a treat! So far have captured John Rocha and Henry Holland (below) in cosies! Tried to get Alexa Chung and Laura Bailey in one today but they were having none of it sadly, spoilsports. I think this is an emerging trend that is sure to make a comeback next year...Again, most of the photos are sideways. I tried.

Mulberry's SS11 Presentation

Went to Mulberry's presentation today at Claridges. Inspired by 'The Secret Garden' it included blush-coloured separates and oversized details. My favourite was an big taffeta bubble skirt with a paperbag waist. I'll put some of Mulberry's outfit shots up soon. In the meantime feel free to peruse pictures of Alexa and co who today are mostly being sideways (seriously, downloading images is a long, painful and mostly unsuccessful task!) The front row was killer with Gemma Arterton, Rachel Stevens, Laura Bailey and VV Brown all cooing over the gorgeous new bags.

Amazing paper dolls!

Free victoria sponge cake (and a chipped nail - oops!)

Yesterday

Yesterday I went to Spjikers en Spijkers, a screening of Henry Holland's show with the man himself there for questioning, John Rocha's Guggi party (fun) and a party celebrating what seemed to be puffa jackets.

Bear with me, Blogger is being a nightmare with images! Sometimes it won't do it, sometimes it will and sometimes it will with duplications!
