LFW Day 1: Bora Aksu, Bernard Chandran & Derek Lawlor
My London Fashion week kicked off in a whirl of layered textures, lace, sequins and bows at Bora Aksu. Ex Destiny's Child's Michelle, Hilary Alexander and that pretty girl from T4 (not Alexa, not Miquita, the other one) were all celebrity spots. Beautiful prints flew across diaphonus silks and stiff organzas with a touch of body-con at Lady Gaga's favourite, Bernard Chandran. After that I hot-footed it from the Strand to Old Street to see genius Derek Lawlor's stunning interpretations of liquorice-like cord combined with fine knits (full catwalk report to follow).
