Carla Sozzani and Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye invited me to the launch of their fabulous new collaboration with Liberty of London. The sophisticated celebratory soiree included delicious canapes and tasty champagne and guests included American Vogue editor, Anna Wintour. The collection looks fabulous in muted yellows and creams; I especially liked the bikinis and will wear one this with a matching scarf on my head and massive sunglasses when luxuriating on a beach in Capri (in Dreamland).

Shockwaves 2010 NME Awards
I went down to a wet Brixton Academy last night to sample the many musical delights of NME's Music Awards. There were fab perfomances by the Specials, Paul Weller, Hole and Kasabian and more music-related celebrities than you could shake a stick at. I sat with Jamie T and his friends and chatted to the always lovely Jaime Winstone and Melanie Blatt. No afterparty news this time I'm afraid; I had to have a early(ish) night! Thanks for a fun time to everyone at the NME (especially my favourite, Jamie Fullerton!) Here are my pics:

LFW Day 4: Monday 22nd February
I had a bit of a late start (tequila was hurting my brain from the night before - see previous post) but eventually I managed to drag myself to Jaeger. I chatted about blogging to the lovely Maurice Mullen (ES's Head of Luxury Fashion) before the show started - he's an avid supporter of all things online but admitted it can be a struggle to keep up with the sheer number of bloggers like myself!
It was a while until the show started as there was something of a photographer scrum on the catwalk. What kind of world do we live in if a front row including Callum Best, Rachel Stevens and the Saturdays causes a frenzy that leaves everyone wondering if the Queen is out and about?! This crazed desperation for celebrity fodder was unlike any fashion week I have seen previously; out of control. – it should be about the clothes, not the guests! Rant over.
Media circus aside, Jaeger’s collection was slick and quite Mod in feel. It featured: spider web knits, mannish suits worn with towering heels, velvet, a perforated suede cape, loose blow drys, neutral yet sculpted faces, large suede obi belts with tassels and gorgeous tan leather accessories.

Party of the Week
PPQ’s party on New Oxford Street was far too cramped, Henry Holland’s Duke Street knees up was fun but casual but Mulberry’s Kensington Palace party was just right. The venue was ideal for a collection inspired by royals behaving badly; I doubt any of the occasions held there previously could have touched Mulberry’s elegant yet fabulously raucous soiree.
Hosted by Emma Hill and Alexa Chung, the venue was still decked out with glittery leopards and looked stunning. It was plenty large enough to accommodate the celebrity-studded crowd comfortably. We drank enough beer and tequila to sedate any jungle animal, ate all the (steak and mushroom) pies and listened to live music by Delphic.
It was a great turnout from the celebrity ladies with Matthew Horne as the exception! Guests included: Pixie Geldof, Jade Parfitt, Jasmine Guinness, Nicola Roberts, Tolula Adeyemi, Josephine De La Baume, Jo Wood, Amelle, Ben Grimes, Olivia Palmero, Caroline Sieber, Rachel Stevens, Sophia Hesketh, Liberty Ross, Amber Le Bon and Kaya Scodelario all helped them to celebrate.

Hostess Alexa Chung looking lovely - I think the gold leopard is jealous of his mate!

And my gorgeous celebrity stylist friend Miss Ellie Stidorph loved this one! Doesn't she look fab? Alexa loved her dress!
